Responsiveness is key

I’ve finally updated my site and CSS Logo experiment to be responsive (with minimal media queries). Feel free to give it a whirl by using Chrome or Safari and shrink/expand your browser window a few times. You can also visit on the iPhone or other Media Query/CSS3 capable mobile devices.

I’ll be refining this as I learn more, but for now I’m pretty stoked on it.

Forrst CSS Logo

Forrst is also pretty awesome and their logo looked doable in CSS so I gave it a try.  Should look fine in Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

Dribbble CSS Logo

I’m a big fan of Dribbble so I thought I’d take a shot at creating their logo in CSS.  Please view in Safari, Firefox and Chrome (in newer versions the ball has developed a bit of a tail).

CSS3 Logo Update: Click & Hold To Zoom

I’ve made a small update to the CSS3 logos.  Using -webkit-transform and -webkit-transition, you can now click and hold a logo and it’ll scale up.  This is to help demo the scalability of the logos.

Try it out.

CHASE CSS Logo and other changes

I’ve added the CHASE logo to the list.

In creating this logo I realized the awesome power of the :nth-child pseudo-class.  All the logos now have cleaner HTML and increased CSS3ness.

CBS CSS Logo

Added CBS to the growing list of CSS logos I’m creating.  View in Safari/Chrome/Firefox.

BMW CSS Logo

I’ve just added BMW to my ongoing list of CSS3 Logos.  It looks great in the latest versions of Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

Univision and NBC CSS Logos

Inspired by Louis Harboe’s iOS CSS Icons, I thought i’d play around with the different shapes you can make using the latest CSS techniques.  Everything’s based in ems so it should scale with no problem. This is a work in progress and currently only displays correctly in the latest versions of Chrome and Safari.
